Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Australia, Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, several navigation and maps applications showed varied performance on the Android platform in Australia, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a steady stream of downloads throughout the quarter, peaking at around 13.7K in the final week of March. Its weekly active users fluctuated, starting at 520K and ending the quarter at approximately 511K.

Google Earth experienced a peak in downloads in early March with 7K. Active users saw a high of 63.7K in early March before decreasing to 44K by the end of the quarter.

QLDTraffic had a notable spike in downloads, reaching 7.8K in early March, though active user data was unavailable.

GPS Speedometer - Odometer App saw steady weekly revenue, averaging around $360. Downloads were consistent, with a slight peak at 1.9K in late March, and active users increased slightly to 4.9K by the end of the quarter.

Speedometer: GPS Speedometer maintained a stable revenue flow, peaking at about $404 at the end of March. Downloads were highest at the beginning of the quarter with 1.8K, while active users hovered around 8.5K.
